This past week has been the National Cherry Festival here in Traverse City. It has been a cool and crazy time. Here are a few highlights:
Fireworks on the 4th after the Beach Bums baseball game--can't get more all American than that!
Watching the "Air Dogs" practice their leaps into a pool was a definite highlight. They are so cute!
Then watched part of the Junior Royale Parade and sat next to a guy who was making balloon figures:
And watched Tribute 1964 (Beatles) with cool chicks Lynn and Jeannette
And today my dog Jasmine and I met some of the family at the waterfront and watched the closing fireworks over the bay. It was Jasmine's first time at the fireworks and she was a dream. The fireworks were awesome!
We are jewelry designers-my friend Jeannette O'Brien, my cousin Sue Collier and myself. Catherine Vrchota Najmajstr, the great-grandmother of Sue and I, was born in Bohemia and came to the US as a young girl. She was a very talented lady who is loved and talked about to this day in South Dakota, where she homesteaded with her husband. We like to think she dreamed of this day where we can share the bit of talent we inherited from her with a large audience.
Check out our store's website!
We also have an actual website for our store. That way those of you who are not members of etsy can buy our jewelry.
